Jo has many years of experience working with parents and families in the community services sector. Jo is an empathetic and ethical counsellor committed to working alongside you as you explore practical, realistic strategies and solutions for everyday issues. Jo is passionate about Couples Counselling.

Jo brings significant knowledge and skills to understanding human developmental needs and the connection between healthy early years relationships and adult mental health and well-being. Jo has a specific interest in helping families adjust to life’s challenges and relating to each other in different and more useful ways.

Jo’s practice is trauma-informed; she is certified in assessing and responding to childhood trauma as well as recognising and working with the effects of traumatic events across the lifespan. Jo takes an integrative approach to her counselling practice, drawing on evidenced therapies and intervention strategies that best suit each client. Jo seeks to provide a welcoming and trusting therapeutic space for clients to safely explore their struggles and concerns while supporting them in accepting and aligning their unique aspects of self.
